Zanesville Green Arts and Crafts Vase Circa 1920

A green urn shaped vase with that Arts and Crafts simplicity. The matte green glaze has highlights of different tinges depending on how the light hits it. The glaze has a soft, thick feel to the touch.

The only embellishment to the vase is a faint, shallow line at the shoulder. The foot is shallow and unglazed. The unmarked base is glazed. The foot shows the buff-colored clay that was used.

4 ¾” (12.1 cm) diameter x 8 1/8” (20.6 cm) tall. Weighs 2 lbs. 6.0 oz (1075 g)

CONDITION

There are no breaks, cracks, or repairs. There are some tiny glaze chips at the mouth, as well as manufacture flaws, such as bumps, reserve spots, glaze runs, and pimples. There is crazing and light wear to the glaze.

A classic Arts & Crafts vase from the 1920's that will be at home in either traditional or modern decors.
