A matching set of four large red clay Frankoma Mayan Aztec bowls that are in an excellent condition
The set of four molded bowls have flat unglazed, red, clay bases. The glaze, which is called Dessert Gold – Rutile, is a blend of gold and tannish brown. The glaze is thick, smooth feeling and looks shiny. The colors of the bowls vary a bit, with some having a bit more gold and others showing more brown.
Marks on the bases of all the bowls read FRANKOMA and 7XL.
MEASUREMENTS
Each bowl – 6 ¼” diameter x 3 3/8” tall. Weighs 3 lbs 15.7 oz (1800 g)
CONDITION
There are no breaks, chips, cracks, or repairs, and the glazes are bright and clean. The clay on the bases shows slight wear. There are some small kiln flaws, such as pin hole reserves, and uneven color.
