A hand-crafted unisex choker necklace with a winged scarab. It is straight from the 1970s.
A cast 800 silver winged scarab is holding a lapis bead. The scarab is attached to leather thongs which are accentuated with lapis beads and brown clay beads. The necklace is secured with a screw clasp. The back of the scarab has a cast hieroglyphic design. The scarab is a heavy silver casting.
The piece is unsigned. It was purchased in Bellingham, WA in 1977.
