Cauldon England Flow Blue Soap or Relish Dish Bentick Pattern c 1890
Cauldon England Flow Blue Soap or Relish Dish Bentick Pattern c 1890
A small oval – almost rectangular – blue and white transferware bowl with a pretty floral design. The bowl has a wide lip and a slightly scalloped edge. The base is flat.
The mark on the back has blurred out and so is difficult to read. I could make out the Cauldon, England at the bottom, as well as what appears to be the letters BENT” in a banner and "JP" in the wreath. The letters “PF” appears on the bottom, as well as "Cauldon" impressed on the base. I believe this is the Bentick pattern

Except for the maker’s mark on back the transfer has not bled very much. There is some wear to the transfer on one side of the well and one side of the lip. There is light discoloration on one side of the outside, near the base. There is no noticeable crazing.
