An antique cast iron dog bank. The dog might be either a Saint Bernard or Great Pyrenees.
 
The molded cast iron bank has deep detail. A slotted original screw holds the two halves of the bank together. The metal has a nice dark brown aged patina. There are faint traces of gold paint. It rests firmly on its four paws.
 
MEASUREMENTS
 
5 ¼” (13.3 cm) long x 1 ½” (3.8 cm) wide x 3 ½” (8.9 cm) tall. Weighs 11.3 oz (320 g)
 
CONDITION
 
There are no cracks, chips, breaks, or dents. The cast iron patina is aged and very little of the gold paint remains.
 
A great dog cast iron bank to add to your antique collection. A nice artistic, sculptural bank.
