Antique Venetian Skunk Trade Beads Late 19th C- Lot of 40

Forty (40) antique red skunk trade Venetian glass beads from the 19th Century. They were found in the Pacific Northwest and likely used by one of the local tribes in the area.

The handmade red glass beads have white glass dots in the red matrix. Most of the beads have a white hole from manufacture at one end. The beads vary somewhat in red intensity and in size. Most have a round shape. They were strung at one time, but the thread deteriorated over time.

MEASUREMENTS

Beads range from 9 mm to 10 mm in diameter. Weighs 3.5 oz (95 g)

CONDITION

There are no chips, breaks, or cracks. The beads show some wear by the holes where they were strung, but otherwise are in excellent condition and still bright.

A great set of beads to make back into jewelry.
