A well-cast bronze paperweight in the shape of an ancient Egyptian scarab with hieroglyphics on the base. It is both useful and decorative.
The heavy bronze casting of an Egyptian scarab was produced in the time of Tut Mania, during the 1920s. The casting is deep and intricate. The hieroglyphics underneath fill the entire base. The scarab has a brownish patina from age. It rests flat on a surface.
